Delicious Homemade Cherry Dog Treats
Treat your pup to these delicious and nutritious homemade cherry dog treats! Made with dog-safe cherries and flour, these treats are packed with natural flavor and healthy ingredients. They’re free from artificial additives and perfect for a special snack. Just mix, bake, and watch your dog enjoy!
Equipment
- Blender or food processor
- Molds of your choice
- Spatula
- Baking sheet
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup pitted cherries, fresh or frozen
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C)
- Add pitted cherries, coconut oil and eggs to blender and blend until smooth
- Mix in flour and half a cup of water and mix well
- Add additional water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached. It should be spreadable, between a cake and a pancake consistency.
- Place your mold on a baking sheet to add stability
- Using a spatula, spread the mixture into the molds and tap gently to remove any air pockets. Remove any excess from the molds
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes (if you use a smaller mold if will be less time, or more time for a larger mold)
- Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before removing from molds
- For crisper / drier treats, return the treats to a baking sheet and bake for another 10-15 minutes at 350°F (175°C) OR return the treats to a baking sheet and return to the oven while it is turned off as the oven cools.

Storage
For moist treats, store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week, or in the freezer for 2-3 months.
For dry treats, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, or in the freezer for 2-3 months.
