It’s almost pumpkin time! Carving pumpkins was always one of my favourite things as a kid. Not only was it exciting, but it was a family affair. We would make an evening of it: the whole family carving together, helping each other, and baking the pumpkin seeds afterwards. Finally, when it was dark out, we would take out pumpkins outside and light them up. I always found it very rewarding to see our pumpkins come to life with the candlelight.
I’m sure if we had thought of it we also would have taken the scooped-out flesh and made it into pumpkin puree to use in some delicious Homemade Dog Treats like Pumpkin Oatmeal Baked Dog Treats, Pyramid Pan Homemade Pumpkin Dog Treats or Frozen Pumpkin Blueberry Dog Treats!
